The purpose of this article is to list known forced induction kits, their parts lists and approximate power figures.
Turbocharger Kits and Stages
Complete turbocharger kits no longer exist. You will need to build your own custom setup yourself. The following list of kits are for archival purposes only.
SFR Stage 1
Stage 1 kit will produce about
Manual tranny (180-190whp,24kg.m(173lb.ft)-26kg.m(188lb.ft))and Auto tranny (170-180whp,22kg.m(159lb.ft)-24kg.m(173lb.ft)) for 2.0
Manual tranny (160whp-180whp,19kg.m(138lb.ft)-21kg.m(152lb.ft)) and Auto tranny (130whp-150whp,17kg.m(123lb.ft)-19kg.m(138lb.ft)) for 1.6 engines @ internal waste set of 0.4bar(6psi)depends on the octane rate and other modifications
- IHI turbo has an internal wastegate and you will be able to push 0.4bar
- Our kit will not work with 2005+ F/L Auto tranny New Tiburons
- Dyno proven and tested by SFR
- Our kit is also designed for easy and less cost upgrade in the future when you are looking for more power

This kit is sold claiming to produce 485HP which is very hard to achieve on stock internals. The advertising is false and is meant to sound better than it is. It is our opinion that it contains several universal and low quality components. Several OpenGK patrons have bought this kit and claimed many pieces need to be customized to fit and the turbocharger is such low quality it seized on them within weeks of installation. MMI does sell the turbo manifold[2] separately which is a good base to start from. One owner reports that the wastegate flange warps easily causing a boost leak.
